STEM Ignite is seeking a Community Manager Volunteer to join our team. The Community Manager will work to engage our online and offline community and help us grow our impact. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about STEM education and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This position requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with the online and offline community to foster meaningful relationships and increase engagement
- Manage STEM Ignite’s social media channels and develop content to promote our mission and programs
- Develop and implement strategies to grow our online community and reach new audiences
- Manage and coordinate STEM Ignite’s outreach efforts, including attending events and reaching out to potential partners
- Collaborate with the STEM Ignite team to develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies
- Monitor and analyze social media and website analytics to track engagement and effectiveness of outreach efforts
Requirements:
- Passion for STEM education and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing social media channels and developing content
- Familiarity with social media analytics and website analytics
- Experience in community management, outreach, or marketing preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Flexible schedule and availability to attend events as needed
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
